We’re all travelers, each of us looking for ourselves in every place we go.
…is that true?
I think it is. There is a certain maturity, worldliness, kindness, and understanding that exists in those who travel often. Perhaps it doesn’t come from seeing more things or meeting a greater number of people.
I think it comes from us finding more of ourselves in the PROCESS of meeting more people and having more experiences. It sounds ego-centric to think that our sole motivation is to look for ourselves in the midst of our adventures. But, maybe there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe it’s less about us looking for ourselves and more about what we find-who we become.
Life is a series of adventures, and our job isn’t just to discover who we are during them…but to help the people around us go on great adventures to find more of themselves, too.
I think that’s the point.
